This is a recent video of our ‘Gunnar 601′ matcutter from Switzerland,  cutting a full sheet of matboard into a 29 opening mat.

The mat is first designed on the computer screen, with all the advantages that this offers, and then the machine is ordered to cut the layout.

With a skilled operator, accuracy is guaranteed every time.

The ‘Gunnar 601′ enables us to promise perfect bevelled opening cuts every time, consistently accurate straight edge cuts, and also the cutting of special shapes and fonts.

The quality of our frames is well known by our many customers, however, I struggle with the intricacies of photography, as you can tell by the thumbnail photos of these frames – however, you get the idea!

We specialize in multiple openings in one frame.

We are able to frame them in any combination you require.

Matboard in all team colours is available.

There is no quick answer to this question. It depends on the type of wall, and the size, weight, and shape of the frame.

Please ask for advice if you are not sure of what is best, and we will try to help. We always recommend two hooks for any large frame, and it is best to find wall studs if the wall is plasterboard. On solid walls, it is best to always use wall plugs, with screws or bolts. Also, try to ensure all of these fittings point upwards out of the wall. Two hooks will also make it easier to keep the frame level.

For any non-standard multi opening designs, do some research into frame styles and mat colours, and then send a fax or email detailing what your specific needs are, sizes of photos etc.  We will respond once we have had time to assess your design.

We have upgraded again, and are now able to do many ‘less chunky’ font styles if this is your preference.

Photo fonts are normally used with standard 6 x 4 inch photos, but we can adapt most fonts to enable the use of 5 x 7 inch, or even larger photos.

The range of uses is limited only by our imagination, please feel compelled to ask us to do the impossible. At the very least you will provide stimulation!

Use a gentle brush to get rid of the dirt that accumulates around the edges of the frame and glass, and then clean with a moist cloth. It’s when you clean the glass you see the complete frame to best advantage. For cleaning glass, we have our own ‘in house’ mixture that does a superb job, cleaning glass, mirrors, and other items around the home.

All we use is a mixture of half methylated spirits, and half water, then add a small squirt of Morning Fresh dishwashing liquid. There you are, simple as that. Now you know as much as I know!
