D.I.Y. Advice

Many times here at the factory, we are presented with frames to work on for customers. Either the glass is broken, the mat needs changing, new photos are to be fitted, etc etc… Often, the whole appearance of the frame will be improved dramatically by a simple clean. The truth is, that once frames are hung on the wall, they are often neglected. This should not be the case, a spring clean will lift everyone’s spirits.

Use a gentle brush to get rid of the dirt that accumulates around the edges of the frame and glass, and then clean with a moist cloth. It’s when you clean the glass you see the complete frame to best advantage. For cleaning glass, we have our own ‘in house’ mixture that does a superb job, cleaning glass, mirrors, and other items around the home.

All we use is a mixture of half methylated spirits, and half water, then add a small squirt of Morning Fresh dishwashing liquid. There you are, simple as that. Now you know as much as I know!
